13th November 2011 - Featuring Classic Albums By Clear Blue Sky & Warhorse

Our first feature this week was 1971's Space Rock classic, the self-titled, Clear Blue Sky. The band was made up of an Acton, London-based trio by the names of John Simms, Ken White and Mark Sheather. One of the unsung musical gems of the seventies, it was to be almost 20 years before the band released their highly anticipated second album in 1990.

Continuing on from last week's Deep Purple off-shoot theme, we featured the band sacked bassist Nick Simper went on to form called Warhorse. They produced 2 albums between 1970 and 1972 with yet another classic prog artist, keyboard player Rick Wakeman from Yes. Tonight we featured tracks from both of their albums.

6th November 2011 Featuring Captain Beyond

In this episode we set the record straight by exposing one of the great lost rock bands of the early 70's named "Captain Beyond". It consisted of the prolific talents of Rod Evans (ex-Deep Purple) and Rhino Reinhardt with Lee Dorman (both ex-Iron Butterfly). Judging from the quality of their musicianship, they should have been right up there on top with Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Uriah Heep.

This is our long-overdue tribute to them over thirty years after they appeared. But never too late...
